Definition

배나 보트가 얕은 곳이나 해안에 걸려 움직이지 못하는 상태를 말합니다.

해양에서 주로 쓰이며 선박이 물가나 얕은 곳에 걸려 더 이상 움직일 수 없을 때 사용합니다. 'run aground', 'go aground'와 같이 동사와 함께 쓰입니다.

The ship ran aground near the coast.

그 배는 해안 근처에서 **좌초하여** 버렸다.
