Definition

船やボートが岸や浅瀬に乗り上げて動けなくなっている状態を指します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に船やボートについて使われます。'ran aground'や'go aground'のような表現がよく使われます。陸上の乗り物には使いません。
