誰かを自分の味方にしたり、自分の意見に同意させたりするために、好感や信頼を得ること。

主に人の気持ちや意見を徐々に変えたいときに使います。例えば「win over the audience」は「観客の心をつかむ」。強制ではなく、信頼や好感を得るニュアンスです。勝負に勝つ意味の『win』とは違います。
