Definition

文字や文章がぼやけていたり壊れていたり、あるいは内容が難解すぎて読むことができない状態。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

手書きや印刷が読めない時や、内容が理解できないほど難しい場合にも使います。「illegible」は物理的に読めない時に限り、「unreadable」は理解困難にも使われます。
