血栓症とは、血管の中に血のかたまり（血栓）ができて血流が妨げられ、健康に影響を及ぼす病気です。

医学的な専門用語で、病院や論文などで使われます。「深部静脈血栓症（DVT）」は主に脚の深い静脈での発生を指します。「塞栓症」は血栓が移動する状態ですので混同しないように。
