Definition

以前に録音されたテープに新しい音や映像を上書きすること、または何かをテープで覆うこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に昔のテープ録音に使う表現。デジタルの場合は'record over'が普通。テープで覆う意味もあるので文脈で判断する。
