コメディでの「突っ込み役」は、お笑いコンビでボケを引き立てる真面目役のこと。異性愛者の男性も指す場合がある。

主にお笑いコンビで使われ、『突っ込み役』は相方を引き立てる真面目担当。通常、普段の真面目な人には使わない。異性愛者を表す際はやや直接的で、あまり一般的な表現ではない。
