'Send up' puede usarse literalmente ('lanzar un cohete') o figuradamente ('parodiar una película'). Es informal cuando se usa para parodiar. Se oye en frases como 'send up a satellite' (literal) o 'send up a movie' (parodia/sátira). No confundir con sólo 'send' ('enviar algo').
