Definition

어딘가에 숨겨져 있거나 잃어버린 물건을 찾기 위해 물건들을 뒤죽박죽 뒤지는 것.

'뒤지다'는 빠르고 약간 어수선하게 찾는 느낌이 있다. 'search'보다 비격식적이고 흔히 '서랍을 뒤지다'처럼 쓴다. 'rummage sale'은 '중고품 판매'.

She rummaged through her purse to find her keys.
