Bir rig ustası, gemilerde, inşaatta veya tiyatro/film sektöründe ağır yükleri kaldırmak için halat, kablo veya ekipman kuran kişidir.

Bu terim genellikle denizcilik, inşaat, tiyatro veya film gibi teknik alanlarda kullanılır. 'Işık rig ustası' gibi sahne/film içindeki uzmanlık anlamlarına da gelir. Genel montajcı için kullanılmaz.
