物事やアイデアを新しい形で提示・整理すること。または、映画や舞台などで既存の役に新しい俳優を選ぶこと。

創作分野やビジネス、芸能でよく使われます。『recast a role』は配役の変更、『recast a proposal』は提案の再構成を意味します。『rewrite』とは違い、文章だけに限りません。
