अनौपचारिक है, अक्सर कक्षा, घर या समूह में बोला जाता है। 'Quiet down, please.' जैसे वाक्य में आमतः उपयोग। यह व्यक्ति या स्थिति दोनों के शांत होने के लिए कहा जा सकता है। 'quiet' (विशेषण) से न मिलाएँ।
