किसी चीज़ को मजबूती से किसी दूसरी वस्तु या सतह पर दबाना ताकि वह संपर्क में रहे या छाप छोड़ दे।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

आम तौर पर ये शारीरिक क्रिया (हाथ या औज़ार से) के लिए होता है, जैसे 'press onto the wound' या 'press onto the paper'। इसका इस्तेमाल रूपक में नहीं होता। 'press on' का मतलब कुछ और (जारी रखना) है।
