잠깐 들르다

Definition

계획 없이 짧게 친구나 이웃 집에 들르는 것. 아주 가볍고 친근하게 방문할 때 사용함.

영국식 영어에서 자주 쓰이고, 매우 비격식적임. 미국식에서는 'stop by', 'drop by'가 더 익숙함. 'pop around to~', 'pop around for~'처럼 목적을 덧붙이기도 함.

I'll pop around after lunch to see you.

점심 먹고 너 보러 **잠깐 들를게**.

Can you pop around to help me move this table?

이 테이블 옮기는 거 좀 도와주러 **잠깐 들를** 수 있어?

My sister often pops around for a cup of tea.
