Definition

誰かや何かを無視したり、選ばなかったりすること。特に何かを決めたり注意を向ける場面で使われる。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

仕事やグループで昇進やチャンス에서選ばれなかったときによく使われる。話題を飛ばす時にも使う。「pass by」と混同しないように注意（それは物理的に通り過ぎる意）。
