'Osteopat' resmî bir tıbbi terimdir. ABD'de tam teşekküllü bir doktor olabilir, ancak diğer ülkelerde manuel terapi uzmanıdır. 'Ortopedist' (kemik cerrahı) ile karıştırmayın.
