엄청난 기적은 아니지만, 예상치 못하게 어려운 일이 잘 풀렸을 때 쓰는 말이다. 평범한 상황에서 놀랍고 운이 좋은 일이 있을 때 쓴다.

주로 일상적이고 소소한 놀라움을 표현하며, 종교적 기적과는 다르다. 'It was a minor miracle that...'처럼 자주 쓰인다.
