為某人將口語從一種語言即時翻譯成另一種語言，通常是在對話、會議或活動中。

用語正式/中性，常見於學術、外交或官方場合。不同於“translate for”（書面翻譯）。執行此行為的人稱為 'interpreter'。常接服務對象：'interpret for the director'，'interpret for the team'。
