'Holdout' वह व्यक्ति या समूह है जो तब भी नहीं मानता जब बाक़ी सब मान चुके हों। इसका मतलब किसी ऐसी चीज़ से भी है जो बाकी सबके चले जाने के बाद भी बची हो।

'Holdout' शब्द अधिकतर व्यापार, खेल या बातचीत में इस्तेमाल होता है; इसका इस्तेमाल केवल ज़िद या इनकार के लिए किया जाता है, न कि किसी चीज़ को पकड़ने के लिए। सामान्यतः हल्के नकारात्मक अर्थ में।
