أن يتم ذكر شخص أو شيء بطريقة معينة في المستقبل، خاصة في التاريخ أو في ذاكرة الناس.

عادةً ما تُستخدم بشكل سلبي أو مستقبلي ('will go down as'). كثيراً ما تُقال عن أحداث أو أشخاص مهمين. من الشائع قول 'go down as one of the...' أو 'go down as the best/worst...'.
