إلقاء نظرة سريعة في اتجاهات مختلفة لمعرفة ما يحيط بك، عادة بدافع الفضول أو للاطمئنان على المكان.

دلالة غير رسمية أو عادية؛ تعني إلقاء نظرة سريعة دون تدقيق. غالبًا ما تستخدم مع 'غرفة'، 'شارع'، 'حشد'. أقل عمقًا من عبارة 'look around'.

She walked in, paused, and glanced around like she was looking for someone.
