折れる譲る

Definition

相手の要求や圧力に負けて、最終的に受け入れることです。

カジュアルから標準的な場面で使われます。「ついに折れる」「断固として折れない」と組み合わせる事が多いです。「give up（諦める）」とは意味が異なります。

After hours of negotiation, they finally gave in.

何時間もの交渉の末、彼らはついに**折れた**。

She did not want to give in to peer pressure.

彼女は仲間からのプレッシャーに**屈したくなかった**。

If you think you are right, don’t give in easily.

自分が正しいと思うなら、簡単に**折れない**で。
