Definition

何かの後にすぐ別の出来事や行動が続く、または前の話題や流れが引き継がれること。連続性を表します。

イギリス英語でよく使われ、アメリカ英語では「follow up」が普通です。「follow up」と混同しないよう注意しましょう。会話や会議、イベントの流れで使います。

The concert will follow on after the speech.

スピーチの後にコンサートが**続きます**。

A question-and-answer session will follow on from the presentation.

プレゼンの後には質疑応答が**続きます**。

Events that follow on from this decision could change everything.
