Defenderse o resistir cuando alguien te ataca o critica, sea física o verbalmente.

Normalmente informal. Se usa tanto para defensa física como para resistir críticas o maltratos. Común en frases como 'decidió defenderse' o 'contraatacar'. No es igual que 'fight', que puede indicar iniciar una pelea; 'fight back' siempre es una reacción.
