"even up" in Korean
Definition
차이나 불공평한 부분이 있을 때 그것을 없애고 동등하거나 공평하게 만드는 것. 빚을 갚거나 점수를 맞출 때도 사용함.
Usage Notes (Korean)
주로 스포츠, 금전 거래 등 비공식 상황에서 씀. 'even up the score'는 점수를 맞출 때 사용함. 빚을 갚거나 상대방에게 받은 만큼 돌려줄 때도 쓸 수 있음.
