Definition

違いや不公平があるときに、それらをなくして平等や公平な状態にすること。借りや支払いなどを清算する意味もある。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

スポーツやお金のやり取りなどカジュアルな場面で使う。『even up the score』は点数を揃える場面でよく使う。互いに頼みごとやお礼を返す時にも使う。
