'edit out'는 비공식적이며 잘못된 부분, 불필요한 장면, 민감한 내용 등을 삭제할 때 자주 사용됩니다. 단순히 'edit'(수정하다)과는 달리 완전히 빼버리는 느낌을 줍니다. 'edit out mistakes', 'edit out a scene' 등의 표현이 흔합니다.
