Definition

তলানী হলো কোন তরলের নিচে জমে থাকা কঠিন বা অনাকাঙ্ক্ষিত অংশ। এটি খুবই অবমূল্যায়নযোগ্য বা সবচেয়ে খারাপ অংশ বোঝাতেও ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

'Dregs of society' বলতে সমাজের সবচেয়ে অবাঞ্চিত বা তুচ্ছ অংশ কে বোঝায়; এটি ব্যবহার করলে নেতিবাচক অর্থ প্রকাশ পায়। খাবার বা পানীয়ের ক্ষেত্রে সাধারণত বহুবচনে 'the dregs' বলা হয়।
