遺言補足書は、もとの遺言を作り直すことなく、追加の指示や変更を正式に加えるための文書です。

法律用語で、遺言書の内容を後から変更・追加する際に使われます。日常会話では使用されません。「codicil」は元の遺言作成後の変更に限ります。
