Definition

隙間やつなぎ目を水や空気、虫の侵入を防ぐために使う柔らかい防水材。また、この材料を塗る作業も指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に住宅修理や建築で使われる語。"apply caulk"はコーキング材を塗る、"remove old caulk"は古いコーキング材を取るという意味。「chalk」（チョーク）と間違えないように注意。
