"blowhole" in Korean
Definition
고래나 돌고래 등 해양 포유류가 머리 위로 숨을 쉬기 위한 구멍을 말한다. 바닷가 암석에 물이나 공기가 분출되는 구멍을 지칭할 때도 사용된다.
Usage Notes (Korean)
'whale's blowhole'처럼 주로 고래나 돌고래의 숨구멍을 말하지만, 바위에서 물이 뿜어져 나오는 분수공(지질학적 구멍)도 지칭할 수 있다. 사람이나 육지 동물에는 쓰지 않는다.
