Impedir que pessoas ou coisas passem por uma área, normalmente pondo algo a bloquear a passagem.

Usa-se mais para lugares físicos como ruas, entradas ou portas. Bastante usado em contextos policiais ou de obras ('block off the road', 'block off an area'). Para ideias abstratas, usa-se 'block out'.
