誰かや何かに夢中になりすぎて理性的に考えられなくなった状態。強くお酒に酔ったときにも使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に小説やユーモラスな場面で使う、度を越した熱中・恋愛や酔っぱらいを表す表現です。"besotted with/by"の形でよく使い、健全な愛にはあまり使いません。
