直接言わず、暗に示すこと。主に書き言葉や丁寧な場面で使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「alluding to」という形で使われやすい。あいまいにほのめかす時に使い、「eluding（逃げる）」とは意味が違うので注意。
