逐漸損壞、削弱或使某人感到疲憊，可以指物理上的磨損，也可以指情緒上的消耗。

'wear down' 多用於口語，指緩慢損耗或逐步消磨某人意志。常用於物品（鞋底磨損）和心理（爭吵讓人疲憊）。不要和 'wear out' 混淆，'wear out' 表示完全使用完畢。
