締め切りや期限の直前、ほんの少しの余裕で何かをやり終えること。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
インフォーマルな言い回しで、締め切りギリギリに終わらせる場面で使われます。「just in time」と同じ意味合いで、急ぎやプレッシャーを伴うことが多いです。
