किसी बोली या ऑडियो को ठीक वैसे ही लिख लेना जैसे बोला गया हो। कभी-कभी इसका मतलब एक लिपि से दूसरी लिपि में बदलना भी होता है।

Usage Notes (Hindi)

शैक्षिक, कानूनी और मीडिया में अधिक उपयोग होता है। यह शब्दशः लिखने के लिए इस्तेमाल होता है। 'transcribed audio', 'transcribed interview' आम प्रयोग हैं। 'translated' से न मिलाएँ; इसमें भाषा नहीं बदलती।
