넘어질 듯이 불안정하게 움직이거나, 결정 내리기 전 망설이는 상태를 의미함.

'teeter on the edge'는 위기나 결정의 경계에 있을 때 사용됨. 주로 물리적 불안정, 드물게 비유적으로 사용. 구어체보다는 묘사적으로 쓰임.
