Definition

車や船、人などを特定の場所や目標、方向に向けて導くこと。

主に車や船で使われるが、比喩的にも使う（例: 'steer for success'）。目的地が後に続くことが多い。単なる'steer'は目標を示さないので注意。

The captain told the sailor to steer for the island.
