誰にも気付かれないように、さっと素早く見ること。よく好奇心や恥ずかしさ、秘密の気持ちが含まれます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

実際に盗むという意味はなく、「ちらりと見る」は秘密や恥ずかしさがあるときによく使われます。「～をちらりと見る」の形で使います。
