“惊人的”形容某事非常大、令人吃惊或难以置信。也可以形容一个人走路很不稳,像要摔倒一样。

多用于形容“大到令人震惊”的数字或事实(如 'a staggering amount'),也可形容走路摇晃不稳。不要和“amazing”(积极惊喜)或“staggered”(错开、吃惊)混淆。
