通常よりも早く、または特別な配慮で届けられる郵便サービスです。場合によっては、特別な意味やサプライズのある配達も指します。

「特別配達」は郵便局の速達サービスや、特別に届けるものに使います。普通の配達には使いません。『This is a special delivery for you.』でサプライズや重要性を表せます。

The package arrived by special delivery this morning.
