足場は、建設や修理作業のために一時的に組まれる作業台です。歴史的には公開処刑のための台を指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

建設関連では「足場」、歴史や処刑の文脈では「絞首台」を使います。「scaffolded learning」のような教育用法は日常会話ではあまり使われません。
