Definition

紙やすりなどで表面を滑らかにしたり磨いた状態。主に木材や金属に使われます。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に木や金属などの物理的な表面に使い、『sanded down』は表面全体をしっかり滑らかにした時に使います。砂浜の「砂」とは関係ありません。
