新しいことの始まりをお祝いすること。職場では出勤時にタイムカードを押して到着を記録する意味でも使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「ring in the New Year」は新年を祝うときによく使われます。仕事の場合は出勤時の打刻の意味で、電話に出る意味はありません。「bring in」と間違えないようにしましょう。
