Definition

被告人を裁判やさらに詳しい調査まで勾留すること。場合によっては、事件を下級裁判所に差し戻す意味もある法律用語。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に法律や公式な場面で使われる。『勾留中』や『差し戻し』が一般的。ニュースや法廷以外ではあまり使われない。
