Definition

普段寝る時間なのに、起きたままでいること。特に遅くまで眠らずにいることを指す。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

やや改まった表現で、特に“remain up late”と使われる場合が多い。「stay up」よりフォーマルな響きがあり、機械には使いません。
