"Regretfully" رسمية وتُستخدم غالبًا لإبلاغ الأخبار السيئة أو تقديم الاعتذار: 'Regretfully, we must decline.' لا تخلط بينها وبين "regrettably" التي تشير إلى الموقف وليس الشعور الشخصي.
