'Put under' आमतौर पर चिकित्सा में बेहोश करने (anesthesia) के लिए प्रयोग होता है: 'put under for surgery'। कभी-कभी यह दबाव या नियंत्रण के अधीन करने के लिए भी आता है, लेकिन ये कम आम है। सिर्फ 'put' (रखना) से भ्रमित न हों।
