Retrasar o aplazar algo, especialmente porque no quieres hacerlo ahora. A veces también significa hacer que alguien sienta rechazo por algo.

Expresión informal, se usa sobre todo en situaciones cotidianas. Estructura común: 'put off' + verbo en -ing o sustantivo ('put off studying'). No es lo mismo que 'cancel' (cancelar definitivamente). También se usa con el sentido de causar rechazo ('That attitude put me off').
